The bipartisan, binational Midwestern Legislative Conference (MLC) Annual Meeting will take place in Saint Paul, Minnesota, on August 30–September 2, bringing together the region’s legislators for four engaging days of connection, collaboration, and learning.

Celebrating its 80th year, the family-friendly MLC Annual Meeting provides a forum for state and provincial leaders to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and innovations, and hear from leading policy experts — all while enjoying an exceptional city of the Midwest. 

Nestled along the Mississippi River, Saint Paul blends historic charm with modern energy. Attendees will experience its iconic Capitol, stately Summit Avenue, vibrant downtown, and scenic riverfront, along with a rich arts, dining, and cultural scene that reflects Saint Paul’s welcoming Midwestern spirit.

Meeting attendees will have the chance to explore the “Saintly City” through a mix of learning site tours and special evening events.

Led by Sen. Mary Kunesh, 2026 chair of The Council of State Governments’ Midwestern Legislative Conference, members of the Minnesota Legislature are proud to host this event in this milestone year.
