Elevate was built on a belief that women superintendents lead better together. Since its launch, the professional learning community has brought together female leaders to learn, challenge one another and build the kind of relationships that sustain a career.
Where Finance Meets Leadership
Elevate: The Business of Leadership is now enrolling, with the first session in December. This two-year PLC takes the sense of community Elevate has always built and sharpens it around a single focus: deeper preparation for the financial and operational demands of the superintendency — the dimension of the role that carries the most weight and often receives the least preparation.
You don't have to be the CSBO. But as superintendent, you are ultimately responsible for the recommendation.
What You'll Learn
Across seven in-person sessions, participants build practical expertise in:
- School finance and the Evidence-Based Funding formula
- Strategic resource management, cash flow and audits
- Grants and AI-assisted grant writing
- Collective bargaining and costing proposals
- Facilities, construction and capital planning
- Bonds, referenda and long-range financial planning
- Budget communication and taxpayer messaging
Leadership Through a Women's Lens
The technical learning is paired with the realities women encounter in executive leadership: asking difficult questions, negotiating assertively, navigating traditionally male-dominated spaces and owning your seat at the table. And you won't navigate any of it alone.
Building a Professional Learning Community
Participants build a trusted statewide network of women superintendents who learn together, challenge one another and continue to elevate one another long after the experience ends.
Earn Your Badge
Upon completion, participants earn the Elevate Business of Leadership Badge — demonstrating advanced learning in the financial, operational and strategic dimensions of the superintendency. More than a credential, it's a signal that you walked into every room prepared to lead.Elevate was built on a belief that women superintendents lead better together.
