Joining Australasian Land & Groundwater Association (ALGA) in a COVID year, Annalisa will talk about some of the personal challenges she has herself experienced as a new leader, in a new industry and during a new time. She will share how she has found her first year at ALGA and talk through some of the changes that have occurred and how things are progressing for the organisation. Annalisa has some philosophies that help guide her which have supported her traverse across many industries. 

She will no doubt also talk about her passion for ALGA and the opportunities that exist for the organisation. ALGA is going through significant transformation and therefore she appreciates that some of these changes are as new to members as they have been for the team. There are more changes to come, therefore it is a good time – halfway through the year to ensure that members understand why they have been made and highlight some that are yet to be made.  

Annalisa will share how she has found her first year at ALGA. She will talk through some of the challenges and changes that have occurred and how things are progressing as she believes it is really important and to keep us all connected at this time.

Annalisa Haskell GAICD has had an extensive strategic commercial career within a range of industries going through significant changes. From manufacturing, retail banking, insurance, and telecommunications, to energy and the non-profit sector. Her forte is building strong and sustainable brands and organisations that grow and deliver unique support to others, often in the face of significant external and internal change. She has created opportunities in times of great transformation and has been challenged with new technology shifts, new ways of working and new market needs. She has worked in markets that have been deregulated and industries under threat from competition and internal structural issues. She is keen to bring a level of professionalism to (in her mind) the more ‘creative’, non-profit sector that has the governance challenges of big business, with less resources. Past roles in the non-profit sector include; General Manager Australian Institute of Management NSW, CEO Local Government Professionals, NSW and Director and Vice President YMCA NSW. Annalisa is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and Post Graduate in Business.
