Forensic Anthro Skill Sharpening Workshops

These limited enrollment courses are designed for individuals over 18 years old, especially students, law enforcement, and the science-curious who are interested in honing their forensic anthropology skills.

Participants may register for one or both workshops.

Accommodations: Living arrangements will be the responsibility of the student. If you are not local to the Gainesville area (or require on-campus housing for any other reason), you are responsible for making housing arrangements. 

Food: Students will provide their own water, lunches, and snacks during the course.

Transportation: All activities will occur on the UF campus. Transportation to and from the on-campus sites will be the responsibility of the student.

Additional Expenses: Texts will be recommended but not required.  Participants will receive handouts, exercises, and slide lectures that support the activities in the courses.  

Cautions: Participants must be over 18 years of age to participate in these workshops.  Participants must be able to work with human skeletal remains. 

The Forensic Field Techniques Workshop includes outdoor activity in heat and direct sunlight.  Activities requiring the ability to bend and stand up from the ground unassisted are included.  Participants should consider these physical challenges, but CAPHIL will work with applicants who are providing their own assistance aids to meet the physical needs of the course.
