Interested in learning more about AI? Go from curious to confident in four sessions. Learn how to use common tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini to design standards-aligned materials, personalize learning for every student, and think more strategically about your own growth. Grounded in Universal Design for Learning and built for classrooms, this series goes beyond introducing AI — it puts it to work.

Session 1: AI with Confidence: Your On-Ramp to a Smarter Classroom
Great teaching just got a powerful new partner. In this opening session, educators discover what AI really is, how tools like Google Gemini and ChatGPT can support their daily work, and how to start using them with confidence and care. Through hands-on prompt practice and real classroom examples, participants walk away with tangible materials — and the excitement that comes from feeling ready.
Session 2: Designing with AI: Where Your Ideas Come to Life
Imagine having a creative co-designer available any time you need one. This session empowers educators to move beyond basic AI use and begin crafting rich, standards-aligned learning experiences with AI as a genuine collaborator. Participants will learn how to use context, constraints, and intentional design to generate differentiated materials that actually sound like them.
Session 3: AI as an Equity Tool: Reaching Every Learner
Every student deserves a learning experience designed for who they are. This session explores the remarkable potential of AI to personalize learning, boost accessibility, and help educators build scaffolds and supports for every learner profile. Grounded in Universal Design for Learning, participants will leave with a toolkit that makes differentiation not just possible — but sustainable.
Session 4: Thinking Bigger: AI as Your Thought Partner
What if AI could challenge your thinking, push your planning further, and help you become an even sharper educator? This session invites participants into the most expansive vision of what AI can do — from iterating on complex plans to exploring agentic AI concepts that adapt alongside you. Educators leave ready to lead, not just use.

Rob Dickson
Dyane Smokorowski
Dyane Smokorowski is the coordinator of digital literacy and Rob Dickson is chief information officer for Wichita Public Schools in Kansas. They are national leaders in designing classroom experiences grounded in strong pedagogy and purposeful technology integration. They were the keynote speakers at the 2025 Learning Forward Conference in Boston. Smokorowski was named the 2013 Kansas Teacher of the Year and inducted into the National Teachers Hall of Fame in 2019. Dickson is a 2021 Kansas City CIO of the Year (Public Sector) and has propelled Wichita to national recognition including Microsoft Showcase School honors. Smokorowski and Dickson are also founders of the Education Imagine Academy, a thriving K-12 virtual school.
