The UK’s flagship innovation event for the energy sector returns for 2026.
This year's Summit takes place 4 - 5 November 2026 at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow.
The Energy Innovation Summit will bring together industry leaders, innovators, policymakers and stakeholders to demonstrate how innovation is helping deliver on the Government’s Clean Power 2030 (CP30) ambitions and shape the future of UK’s grid.
Hosted by the energy networks in partnership with Ofgem, the Summit will showcase pioneering projects, tackle critical system-wide challenges, and spotlight where innovation is needed to achieve the sector’s strategic goals.
This year’s theme of ‘Where innovation becomes action’ highlights the opportunity for innovators to collaborate, share solutions to industry challenges and walk away with tangible next steps.

Across two dynamic days, delegates will:
- Explore over 100 real-world innovation projects from across the UK networks in the Summit sessions or poster exhibition sessions.
- Hear from industry leaders, innovators, regulators, and academic voices on the opportunities for innovation, including the new Strategic Innovation Fund challenges, as well as learnings from previous innovation projects.
- Learn how networks collaborate with innovators, businesses, academics and more to deploy innovation that has real-word impacts.
- Engage in interactive discussions, breakout panels, and a dedicated poster exhibition area.
