NSW Chapter | Level I candidate study group: Fixed Income
Date: Tuesday, 29 September 2026
Time: 6:00pm – 8:00pm
Arrive from 5:45pm. The study session will be followed by networking and pizza, with the event concluding by 8:00pm.

Cost: $15 for CFA Program candidates (includes pizza), or free for CFA Society Australia Associate Members.

This interactive study session is designed for Level I CFA Program candidates and will focus on Fixed Income, the topic most requested by candidates following our previous study session.
Studying for the CFA Program can involve a lot of time working through the curriculum on your own. This session is an opportunity to put that study into practice, test your understanding and connect with other candidates preparing for the same exam.
Rather than a lecture-style class, you’ll work in small groups through questions, case scenarios and interactive activities, with CFA charterholders on hand to facilitate the conversation.
What you will gain:
- Test your Fixed Income understanding and identify areas you may want to revisit
- Work through questions and scenarios with other Level I candidates
- Hear different approaches and practise explaining concepts through peer discussion
- Meet other CFA Program candidates and CFA charterholders, with pizza and networking following the study session
Please note: The session assumes prior knowledge of the Level I Fixed Income curriculum. Candidates should have completed, or plan to complete, the relevant readings before attending.
