Connecting the World's Baking Industry

The Global Baking Council was established to connect and strengthen trade associations (who represent manufacturers of baked goods) from across the world advocating for the commercial baking industry. Members of the Global Baking Council create a global network of commercial baking industry associations focused on global regulatory, policy, and consumer trends affecting our sector.

The Council

Membership in the Global Baking Council is open to trade associations who represent companies in the commercial baking industry. For participation, “commercial baking companies” are defined as companies who produce wholesale baked goods for sale in grocery stores, markets, convenience stores, foodservice, hospitality, or other B2B channels.

Through participation in GBC, associations receive:

  • Updates on key regulatory and legislative issues as well as consumer trends
  • Issue-focused briefings through virtual and in-person meetings
  • Share expertise and best practices from peer organizations across markets
  • Future potential engagement opportunities with international public organizations
  • Stronger association capacity to provide member companies with globally informed insights and context
