On behalf of The European Association for Research on Plant Breeding (EUCARPIA) and the Association of Applied Biologists we invite you to 'Save the Date' for the 2027 EUCARPIA Leafy Vegetables Conference.
This follows from the successful 2023 event in Utrecht and will be hosted at the University of Warwick in the UK between July 12th-15th 2027.
This 11th EUCARPIA Leafy Vegetables International conference will include plenary talks, poster sessions and delegate visits to the University of Warwick plant breeding facilities and to local growers.
This event provides a platform for scientists, practical plant breeders, and professionals to engage in thought-provoking discussions. You will have the opportunity to explore the latest research and developments in leafy vegetable quality, covering topics including but not limited to genetic resources, breeding, production, and post-harvest handling.
Conference Venue
The University of Warwick is in the Midlands of the UK and a short train journey from Birmingham International Airport and 90 minutes by train from London Stations. Scarman House is a state-of-the-art conference venue, whilst reasonably priced on-campus accommodation will be available for delegates.
The meeting will be organised by the Association of Applied Biologists, a learned society that arranges events that fit the needs of our membership, including those in the 'Applied Plant Pathology' and 'Horticultural Quality and Food Loss' specialist groups.
In keeping with our climate commitment, AAB will provide a small discount for those delegates who travel by train from mainland Europe.
The scientific meeting organisation is led by Professor Katherine Denby, Professor Jim Monaghan and Professor John Clarkson.
