Sci-Fi and Medicine: Graphic Medicine, Comics, And Imagination!

Have you ever thought..

"No way! Can we do that? OR How can we do that EVEN Better? OR How did they even think of doing that?"

This two-week course will probe into the world of science fiction, comics, and medicine on a journey into human body and how ideas come to life. We will use comics, pop culture, and cutting-edge medical research to make plain the possibilities for the next generation of scientists and doctors. We examine tools like graphic novels, classic films, and contemporary pop culture on our journey to better hone our critical thinking skills.

Students will have a chance to create their own short medical comics or speculative fiction scenarios.

We will imagine medicine past, present, and future by exploring the science in science fiction and fictions in science that are on the cutting edge of the possible. 

We will have fun.
