REGISTRATION INFORMATION
What is included with registration?
Registration includes admission to all Monday-Friday sessions, refreshments, evening hospitality events, and the vendor hall. No meals are provided at this event. The meal policy is outlined in section A(4) of our Terms and Conditions, which can be viewed/printed by clicking here.
How do I register as a Sponsor or Exhibitor?
Only confirmed Sponsors and Exhibitors may register as a Sponsor or Exhibitor. Click here for more information on sponsor and exhibitor opportunities.
Can anyone attend this training event?
Admission to training sessions at the 2027 LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Event is restricted to professionals who would qualify for LEIU and/or IALEIA membership.
How do I request a letter of invitation?
Before requesting your letter you must first register for the conference.
After you have registered, send an email to ChapterDirector@ialeia.org with the following information:
- Your registration confirmation number and email address used to register
- Your name as you wish it to appear on the letter of invitation
- Agency name
- Agency address, including city and country
- To whom you would like the letter addressed
- Your IALEIA member number, if you have one
Can I bring my spouse/companion?
Yes. Each attendee may purchase one (1) guest pass for $150 during the online registration process. Guests have access to refreshments at morning and afternoon breaks, evening hospitality events and the vendor hall. Guests are not allowed access to training sessions and will not receive any certificates.
"Guest" refers to an attendee's spouse/companion only, not a business associate or fellow law enforcement colleague.

What is the registration deadline?
Registration is online only, there will be no registration on site during the event. Registration will remain open through April 23, 2027, but is subject to closing early if venue capacity is reached.
What is the registration cancellation policy?
- Requests received by 5:00 PM MST March 26, 2027, will be processed less a $25 USD administrative charge. Requests received between 5:00 PM MST on March 26, 2027, and 5:00 PM MST on April 12, 2027, will be processed less a 25% administrative charge.
- No refunds will be issued after 5:00 PM MST April 12, 2027, or for no-shows.
- In lieu of a refund, registration fees paid may be applied as a credit towards 2028 LEIU/IALEIA Annual Training Event registration fees. Requests for credit must be submitted in writing to conference@leiu.org by April 25, 2027.

How do I get an invoice?
There is an option to print your invoice at the end of the registration process. You will also receive a link to your invoice/receipt via email after submitting your registration/payment.
To ensure a seamless check-in experience, we kindly ask that you complete your registration payment prior to your arrival.
Can I get a single invoice for everyone attending from my agency?
To get a single invoice for your group you must use Group Registration. Follow these steps:
- Enter the first person's details.
- On the “Registration Summary” page, click Add Group Member.
- Repeat until everyone (up to 10 people) is added.
- Click Submit to finish.
Every group member will get their own confirmation email and the group leader's email will contain a link to the group invoice.
I've already paid my registration fees but am no longer able to attend the Annual Training Event. Can I send someone in my place?
Yes. Substitutions may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a participant, you may do so using the “Transfer Registration” option on your registration confirmation page or by emailing conference@leiu.org In the email, state the name of the person who will not be attending as well as the full name of the substitute, their job title and their contact details. The substitute must be from the same organization. Substitutions will be subject to any difference in pricing.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Credit cards are the preferred payment method, but we also accept checks.
If you are paying by check, please note:
- Mailed checks must arrive by April 16, 2027.
- If you miss the mailing deadline, you can pay online with a credit card or on-site with a credit card, agency check or cash (USD).
Personal checks will not be accepted.

AGENDA-RELATED INFORMATION
What is the event schedule?
Educational sessions are held Monday through Thursday between 0800-1700 hours and Friday between 0800-1200 hours. Hospitality events are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
When will the 2027 agenda be posted?
The 2027 agenda will be posted in late December 2026. A printable version of the 2026 agenda is available here.
Are you offering a CICA exam at the conference?
The CICA exam will be held Monday, April 26, 2027, from 0800-1200. Those interested in taking the exam must apply AND be approved prior to the event. Interested parties should review the requirements at www.ialeia.org/cica.php.
How do I earn certificates during the training event?
To earn a certificate, you must attend both classes in that certificate track. Each certificate class is presented twice, allowing you to choose which day to attend each class. Your attendee badge will be scanned to verify attendance in certificate track sessions.
If I earn certificates during the training event, when will I receive them?
You will be sent one email for each certificate you earn, and one for attending the event. Emails will be sent out within two weeks of the close of the event. If you do not receive the emails, please check your spam filter or send us an email address that will not block emails from Cvent. You can send that information to conference@leiu.org.

What is the weather like in Phoenix, AZ in April? What is there to do while I'm there? How do I get around?
In late April to early May, Phoenix, AZ, experiences warm, sunny, and dry conditions, with high temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to mid-90s°F (29–35°C) and overnight lows in the upper 50s to upper 60s°F (14–19°C).

What should I wear?
We recommend business casual attire for the entire event. Dress pants or jeans, dresses, blouses, sportcoats are welcome. Hotel ballrooms tend to be chilly so you may want to bring a light jacket or sweater. We recommend smart casual for evening hospitality events.
