Staten Island Parent Conference 2026

Register here for the UFT's annual Staten Island parent conference! Parents, caregivers and community members are welcome. There will be a resource fair and workshops designed to empower and support parents in advocating for their children and navigating today's educational landscape. A complimentary lunch will be served at noon, and child care will be available for children between the ages of 5 and 12.

Workshops: 

• Understanding the Individualized Education Program with Raphael Tompkin, UFT liaison to the DOE’s Division of Specialized Instruction and Student Support
• Protecting Immigrant Students and Families with Katherine Kurjakovic, UFT English language learner specialist
• An Overview of School Leadership Teams and Recent Amendments with Lucia Curatolo-Boylan, District 31 Community Education Council member
