About us

In June of 1999 the Illinois Crisis Negotiators Association was formed by a handful of law enforcement officers representing local, county, state, and federal agencies determined to encourage and provide education, interaction, and networking between crisis negotiators within the State of Illinois.

For over 25 years our association has seen significant growth from law enforcement, correctional, dispatchers, mental health, and criminal justice professionals dedicated to the safe and successful resolution when responding to a variety of crisis incidents.  To help ensure that our members are prepared to respond when a crisis strikes our association remains dedicated to the mission of providing our membership with the most current and effective crisis negotiation training, resources, ideologies, practices, and techniques available.
