Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) Certification October 27-29, 2026

Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) Certification will prepare course attendees to pass medications in residential settings and facilities providing care for individuals receiving Developmental Disabilities services.

The curriculum takes a minimum of 16 hours to complete. Our course is 3 days.

Course objectives include: 

Defining the role of a Medication Aide. 

Learning to prepare, administer and chart medications by non-parenteral routes. 

Understanding how to observe, report and record unusual responses to medications. 

Identifying responsibilities associated with control and storage of medications and Utilizing appropriate drug reference materials.
