A Growing Movement
For nearly two decades, the NACRJ Conference has been a place where people gather to explore what justice looks like when it is rooted in relationships and community. It brings together people from every corner of the movement to share stories, exchange ideas, and strengthen a collective vision for justice that heals.
Since the first conference in 2007, more than 8,000 visionaries, changemakers, and everyday leaders from across all 50 states and numerous countries have come together in the name of community and restorative justice. The conference has drawn participation from more than 1,200 organizations, ranging from grassroots nonprofits to national networks, universities, public agencies, and justice reform coalitions.
Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or newly curious about restorative approaches, this conference offers space to connect and recharge, to share wisdom, and to imagine together what a more just and connected world can look like.

Connecting the World of Community & Restorative Justice
The National Association of Community and Restorative Justice not only hosts the national conference but also provides year-round programs and services.
These include membership opportunities, online circle gatherings, the Restorative Justice Mapping Project, and a variety of national working groups and committees.
Together, these efforts continue to strengthen and expand the field of community and restorative justice across the United States and beyond.

Powered By Community
From the beginning, the NACRJ Conference has been almost entirely volunteer-organized.
Volunteers contribute to every aspect of the event, from shaping the overall vision to providing on-the-ground support during the conference itself.
This collective effort reflects the heart of the community and restorative justice movement: people from across the country coming together to create spaces of learning, connection, and transformation.

Intentional Growth
In 2024, the NACRJ Conference reached its largest size yet with 1,902 attendees. While we’re deeply inspired by this growth, we’ve also listened closely to community feedback.
To keep the experience rooted in meaningful connection, the 2026 conference will be capped at 1,800 attendees.
This intentional size allows us to preserve the sense of community that has always been at the core of the conference.
