Thank you for your interest in A practice-based approach to self-care: TExP2!
The Atlas Institute for Veterans and Families, in partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada, is offering training on trauma-exposed professionals (TExPs) to service providers (and their trainees) working in mental health who care for Veterans or Veteran Families in Canada.
This training is offered at no cost to eligible participants. Information collected in this registration process may be used at an aggregate level to report on who participated in our trainings, meaning that your individual responses would be combined with the responses of others in a way that does not allow for the identification of an individual person.
This course offers pragmatic approaches to self-care specifically designed for clinicians who work with TExPs. Tim Black and Alex Sterling delve into the unique challenges faced by TExPs and the clinicians who provide care to them, including the frequency, intensity and disturbing nature of traumatic events experienced by their clients. The course emphasizes the importance of self-care in preventing burnout, compassion fatigue and potential traumatization among clinicians as they work with TExPs.
