2026 Forest Innovation Summit

September 17 - September 18 | Burke Mountain Hotel & Conference Center

The Vermont Forest Innovation Summit brings together over 150 industry leaders and partners from across all supply chains; from landowners, foresters, and loggers to sawmills, biomass producers, wood manufacturers and fine furniture makers. Industry partners include technical assistance providers, lenders, government, and non-profit issue experts who support the people and businesses that help keep Vermont’s working forests as forests.

Join us to explore

Innovation in Our Forest Economy

This year's Summit is all about Innovation in Our Forest Economy—and for the first time ever, you'll have the opportunity to meet the newest cohort of companies participating in the Forest Business Accelerator (FBA).

We'll kick things off on Thursday afternoon with Growing the Future: Meet the 2026 Forest Business Accelerator Cohort, where eight emerging companies will introduce their ventures that are creating new opportunities for the forest economy.

Throughout the event, you'll have the chance to connect directly with these entrepreneurs, learn about their work, and explore opportunities for collaboration.

To learn more about the Forest Business Accelerator, check out the website here, and click the company logos below to learn more about each participating business.

  • Financing forest innovation—from startup to scale
  • Mass timber and the future of housing construction
  • Emerging nanocellulose applications and commercialization
  • Innovative approaches to wood heat policy
  • How nonprofits are creating new forest-based revenue opportunities
  • Real-world lessons from entrepreneurs actively raising capital
  • Networking with industry leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers from across the Northeast
