Getting to and from the airport

The airport is located six miles northeast of downtown Albuquerque.

Shuttles

If you are staying at the DoubleTree, there are complimentary shuttles to and from the airport. Upon arrival, please contact the DoubleTree for shuttle pick up, (505) 247-3344 and press “0”. The shuttle will pick you up on the lower level or baggage claim level. If you have any questions, Visit Albuquerque has an information desk located on the baggage claim level. The desk is manned until 4:00 PM. A volunteer will be able to direct you to the hotel shuttle pick up area.

When leaving the DoubleTree, it is suggested that you make reservations at the shuttle stand in the lobby the day prior.

Taxicabs and Ride Sharing

The average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is approximately $20 before gratuity. The one-way trip takes about 10 minutes. You can find taxis waiting in the center section of the airport terminal’s lower roadway outside of baggage claim; to get back to the airport from the city center, you can order a cab through the city’s main operators or from a hotel with a dedicated taxi stand.

People popularly use ride sharing services like Uber and Lyft to get to and from the airport and to get around the city.

Parking at the Convention Center

Primary parking is available at the Convention Center garage Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Ave. and Broadway Blvd., with overflow parking available at the Civic Plaza garage (Marquette & 3rd St.). Event parking in these garages is $10 - $20 per vehicle, without in/out privileges.

Additionally, there are numerous other public parking garages and parking lots available throughout downtown close to the Center. Parking fees vary. Please refer to the posted parking fees at each garage or lot.
