The Environmental/Geographic Influences track explores how environmental exposures—from climate change and wilderness settings to region-specific conditions—shape dermatologic disease patterns, prevention strategies, and patient care. Each session integrates wellness by addressing heat stress, UV exposure, infectious risk, and the psychological impacts of environmental change on both patients and clinicians. A multidisciplinary lens is emphasized, drawing on public health, environmental science, and infectious disease to contextualize skin disease within broader ecological and social systems. Together, the lectures equip learners to recognize emerging dermatologic challenges while promoting resilient, holistic approaches to skin health in a changing world.

This Integrative Medicine track session highlights a whole-person approach to care, bridging evidence-based medicine with thoughtful, patient-centered strategies. The session will explore practical principles of antibiotic stewardship, emphasizing when and how to use antimicrobials responsibly, alongside a focused discussion on the role of supplements in dermatologic health. Whole Person Care in dermatology will be framed as a holistic model that considers the skin within the context of physical health, mental well-being, lifestyle, environment, and patient values, recognizing their interconnected impact on skin disease and healing. Attendees will gain clinically relevant insights into integrating these topics to optimize outcomes, reduce harm, and support comprehensive care across diverse patient populations.

The Skin at Different Stages Track offers Dermatology PAs an in-depth exploration of how physiologic and life-stage changes impact the skin across the lifespan. This series features lectures on how hormonal changes influence skin health and disease, a practical review of cosmetic skincare ingredients and their clinical relevance, and the medical management of dermatologic conditions during pregnancy. Together, these sessions provide evidence-based guidance to help PAs deliver safe, informed, and patient-centered care while addressing the unique dermatologic needs that arise at different stages of life.

The Professional Development Track is designed specifically for Dermatology PAs seeking practical, career-enhancing education beyond clinical topics. This curated series addresses key professional challenges and opportunities, with lectures focused on recognizing and managing burnout, mastering dermatology-specific coding and billing, understanding the evolving role of AI tools in clinical practice, and navigating medical-legal considerations relevant to PAs. Together, these sessions provide attendees with actionable insights to support professional longevity, optimize practice efficiency, and confidently adapt to the changing landscape of dermatologic care.

The Derm+ lecture series examines the expanding intersections between dermatology and nutrition, sports medicine, psychiatry, and palliative care to promote a more holistic, patient-centered approach to skin disease management. As dermatologic conditions increasingly reflect systemic health, mental well-being, physical performance, and quality-of-life considerations, clinicians must move beyond traditional treatment models. This program integrates evidence-based insights from multiple disciplines to enhance clinical decision-making, interdisciplinary collaboration, and individualized patient care. The series is designed to broaden clinical perspective and support comprehensive dermatologic care across diverse patient populations and disease states.

The Pediatrics track will offer a comprehensive and engaging experience. It will feature practical pediatric pearls designed to enhance efficiency and confidence in the care of children, ensuring that every attendee gains valuable insights to bring back to their practice. The track will also explore biologic therapy in pediatrics, including special considerations unique to pediatric patients and a review of the current therapeutic options available in our armamentarium. Finally, recognizing that pediatric care always involves the family, we will conclude with a session on difficult pediatric cases, focusing on effective strategies for navigating parent–child dynamics in clinical decision-making.
