Organizations today are exposed to greater risks and uncertainties than ever before. Employee injuries, accidents, lawsuits, scandals, property damage, and theft are examples. When these events occur, they cost money and time, damage relationships and careers, and adversely affect reputations and culture.
A leadership approach should facilitate the management of risks associated with developing and leading people. An “open systems” management approach, which interacts with its environment for renewal and growth, may help mitigate risk and provide a foundation for success. Open systems require engaged leaders with high levels of intimacy and a growth mind rather than a fixed mindset.
A leadership management strategy aims to implement tools to mitigate and monitor risks in line with the policy framework. A next level solution will raise awareness about risks, mitigate them, and prepare in case they materialize. The effectiveness of a leadership style depends on the specific context, responsibilities, and organizational goals. In some situations, a blend of approaches might be most appropriate. This process is realized through your employees. Join us for a challenging discussion on evaluating your leadership system, building engagement, and developing realistic action items.
