The morning session delivers a comprehensive grounding in the principles and legal framework underpinning safe CBCT use — covering radiation science, imaging fundamentals, and the Queensland regulatory requirements. Hands-on practice with a Sirona CBCT unit is built into the program, and the CBCT Use Licensing Examination is completed on the day, with results provided before you leave.

After lunch, the focus shifts to Sidexis — Sirona’s dedicated CBCT software platform. Guided by an AHPRA Registered Dental and Maxillofacial Radiologist, participants will develop a practical sequential interpretation workflow and apply it to real clinical cases, learning to identify significant pathology and understand the anatomical landmarks most relevant to their scope of practice.

The afternoon interpretation session is scoped to clinically significant findings at a generalist level. In-depth radiological analysis requires specialist-level training — participants leave knowing exactly where that boundary sits and how to act on it.
