Course Summary
Two-Day Lecture & Hands-On Workshop with Dr. Olivier Carcuac
Join us for a two-day in-person lecture and hands-on workshop with Dr. Olivier Carcuac, exploring two key topics: innovative mucogingival techniques to treat gingival recession affecting the lower incisors and soft-tissue management around implants.
Considered to be one of the most challenging clinical scenarios to treat, Dr. Carcuac will explore how such critical anatomical factors can be overcome to achieve complete root coverage with a modified version of the free gingival graft. The biological rationale, step-by-step procedure, and overall potential will be presented through clinical cases and discussion of a Randomized Clinical Trial comparing FGG and Mod-FGG.
Dr. Carcuac will also explore how optimal esthetic outcomes with dental implants often depend on a complex relationship between surgical preparation, implant placement and distribution, soft-tissue management during the surgical and restorative phases, and the final prosthesis design. This section of the workshop will focus on key concepts in soft-tissue augmentation, including anatomical characteristics, soft-tissue responses, and clinical skills. The Expanded Mesh-FGG Technique will also be introduced.

DAY TWO — Sunday, September 20, 2026
Full-Day Hands-On Workshop
Hands-On: Modified Free Gingival Graft
