Controlled Environment Building Association Professional Certificate & Training Program

The Controlled Environment Building Professional Certificate & Training Program is a three-day program of immersive training for concepts, terminology, techniques, and elements related to the design, construction, maintenance, safety, and long-term operations of a controlled environment facility.

Under the guidance of the CEBA Board of Directors,  the CEBA Education & Training Committee developed the curriculum outline through industry validation, the learning assessment, and content presentations with industry subject matter experts. Students will be provided reference materials prior to class attendance.
The CEBA Professional Certificate Program was developed and is aligned with the American National Standard, ASTM E2659 – Standard Practice for Certificate Programs.

Purpose

The CEBA Professional Certificate & Training Program teaches four learning modules on construction, maintenance, and management of controlled environment facilities: product safety regulations, building design concepts, controlled environment building control systems, and energy and environmental impacts. At the conclusion of the program, students are required to complete an assessment exam to show that students attained the certificate program’s learning objectives.
When students complete the CEBA Professional Certificate & Training Program and pass the assessment exam, they are recognized by CEBA with a certificate and included in the CEBA Professional Certificate Program website directory.  The certificate is held at the individual level (not the company level).

Site Superintendents, Project managers, Project Coordinators, Project Engineers, Professional Engineers, Estimators, Architects, Designers, and Pre-construction Coordinators/Managers/Directors from general and thermal contractors from CEBA member companies.
