Call for Proposals

We invite proposals for the Rural Summit, which will take place April 11 -14, 2027, at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Why Submit a Proposal?

The Rural Summit offers a dynamic space to share tools, insights, and evidence-informed models of what works in rural places—from preschool programs and dental screenings to community schools and apprenticeships. As a presenter, you will help shape the national dialogue on rural issues and contribute to the collective learning of peers working to support pathways to economic mobility in rural communities across the country.

To help answer questions about potential topics and submissions, PRI will provide two office hours for interested presenters on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, September 23 from 12 – 1pm ET – Join Here
  • Thursday, October 1 from 1 – 2pm ET – Join Here

Proposals will be reviewed on a rolling basis and must be submitted by Friday, October 30, 2026. For any questions or additional information, please email the event planner, Samantha Dodson, at samds@partnersrural.org.

All presenters will be notified of their acceptance status by December 18, 2026.

Additional Details: The Summit will feature more than 40 breakout sessions. They are 60 minutes long and can feature presentations, panel discussions, roundtables, or workshops. We strongly encourage proposals that incorporate interactive elements to engage the audience. Each session should conclude with clear, actionable takeaways, such as practical tips, resources, or specific action steps for attendees.
