Online Course Format
Our courses are asynchronous, so you can log in any time of the day or night to access the course materials, but they have a weekly Zoom meeting that all are encouraged to participate in (they will be recorded and posted). To facilitate the flow of discussion in the online course forums, each course is divided into units. You will be encouraged to progress through the course alongside the other course participants. A two-week period at the end of the course is provided for you to reflect on what you have learned, to consider how your learning can be applied to your daily life, to give feedback on your learning experience, and to complete any outstanding readings or assignments.

Introduction
Part of the mandate of the National Bahá'í Archives, United States, has been to assist local Bahá’í archives, including the training of local archivists. One of the key challenges has been the high turnover of local archivists. Our goal for this e-learning course, with the flexibility of training over the Internet, is to effectively educate local archivists in the basics of archival principles and practices. The course will also be of assistance to archivists of national Bahá'í archives and other Bahá'í institutions.
Learning Objectives
- To learn what an archivist does and what records, documents and other archival material a Bahá’í Archives should contain.
- To learn what skills, training and materials are needed to properly acquire, organize, preserve and make available Bahá’í archival holdings.
Tuition: $150 (tuition discounts available)
