CJA 97th Annual Meeting Information

Join us as we celebrate the 97th Annual Meeting of the California Judges Association, which will be held at the beautiful Sheraton San Diego Resort on Harbor Island. The Annual Meeting Committee, chaired by the Hon. Monica F. Wiley (San Francisco Superior Court) and the Hon. Michael Groch (San Diego Superior Court), has worked very hard to compile a special program of education and events. Please peruse the schedule contained on the following pages and make your plans to attend.

Registration and Packages

All registration fees received after September 21, 2026 will incur a $50.00 late fee. No registration fees will be refunded after October 8, 2026. All registration fees must be received in advance. Any unpaid, no-show registrant will be invoiced the appropriate fees.

MCLE/JBEC

The California Judges Association is an approved MCLE provider by the State Bar of California, Provider #492. This Annual Meeting qualifies for Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Credit by the State Bar of California. The CJA certifies that this activity conforms to the standards for approved education activities prescribed by the MCLE Rules of the State Bar of California. This shall confirm that up to 15.25 hours of MCLE credit, including 5.50 hours Ethics credit and 2.50 hours of Technology credit will be offered for the CJA 2026 Annual Meeting. Sessions also qualify for Continuing Education for California Judicial Branch Education Credit (JBEC). The CLA-CJA Joint Session on Civility qualifies for 1.25 hours of Civility credit; please sign in with CLA to receive this credit.

• CJA Group Rate - $259 plus fees and taxes, per night for single/double occupancy, run of house rooms.
• Resort Charge – the group room rate includes a resort charge of $30.00 per room, per night. The resort charge covers a number of hotel services and amenities, including:
• Resort-wide high speed Internet access in the guest rooms, public space, meeting space and food and beverage outlets; daily one-hour tennis, basketball and pickleball court access for two guests; daily one-hour yoga practice for two guests; and 24-hour fitness center access.
• Guest room reservations must be made on or before Monday, September 21, 2026.
• The CJA discounted guest room rate is available only to CJA Annual Meeting registrants.
• Reservations made within the CJA room block by participants who have not registered for the Annual Meeting will be canceled.
• Important – Please try to reserve your room in the Marina Tower. The Marina Tower is the main tower where the CJA Annual Meeting will be held. You can also book in the Lanai Tower which is adjacent to the Marina Tower, but please be aware that the Bay Tower is a short walk or shuttle ride from the Marina Tower, and the CJA meeting space is not accessible from the Bay Tower.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING

• The hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle transportation to and from the San Diego International Airport.
• CJA Annual Meeting attendees receive a $10.00 discount off prevailing, overnight self-parking and valet parking rates at the hotel.

Cancellation Information
