KEYNOTE SPEAKER
TABITHA BROWN
We are beyond thrilled to announce that Tabitha Brown will take the stage as a keynote speaker at ALS Nexus 2026!
Tabitha lost her mother to ALS in 2007 and often shares how her mother’s strength and enduring presence continue to inspire her to live with faith, joy, and gratitude.
That's exactly what ALS Nexus is about: bringing together people living with ALS, caregivers, healthcare providers, researchers, and advocates who refuse to stop fighting. Tabitha's presence on this stage is a reminder of why we show up.
A two-time Emmy Award-winning host, four-time New York Times bestselling author, multi–NAACP Image Award winner, and entrepreneur, Tabitha has built an extraordinary career on authentic storytelling. She's created and starred in Tab Time, Showtime's The Chi, BET's Churchy, and co-created Food Network's first-ever vegan cooking competition, It's CompliPlated.

"I watched my mother be one of the most vibrant, happy women every day. She loved to smile, all the time. She was a smile; she was pure sunshine. And with ALS in her last few months of her life, she lost her ability to smile. And so, because I can, I do. Because I am able, I smile. It is a gift to be able to smile, and I don't take it for granted."
