Course Description
Helping others grow is one of the most important parts of leadership—and one of the most challenging. In this course, you’ll explore how coaching and feedback work together to build trust, drive development, and create a culture of accountability. Learn how to use coaching to spark problem-solving and ownership, and how feedback can offer clarity and direction when it matters most. Gain tools to navigate difficult conversations with confidence by applying practical techniques. Whether coaching a high performer, addressing a tough issue, or simply trying to build stronger habits on your team, this course will help you lead conversations that inspire growth and forward momentum.

Learning Outcomes

Instructor

Michelle White, MBA, ACC
Kane Learning, Organizational Effectiveness Lead
Michelle specializes in executive coaching and organizational effectiveness. She is passionate about helping leaders, teams, and organizations achieve their goals and objectives. Michelle is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credentialed by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has a Master of Business Administration from Franklin University.

Erin George
Erin supports leadership development through facilitation, coaching, and team building. Before joining Kane Learning, Erin worked in the home office of a specialty retailer as a Sr. Analyst and Facilitator in Learning and Development.
In addition to her work with Kane Learning, Erin is a founding board member of Women and Family Enrichment Services, a non-profit focused on helping vulnerable women and children in Northeast Florida. She is also involved in Sanctuary Night, a sacred space in Columbus, Ohio, serving vulnerable women.
Erin holds a Master of Arts in Leadership (MACL) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Her passion is seeing individuals, leaders, and teams grow and develop in order to show up well and to do their best work.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration at least five (5) business days before the course date to receive a refund. The last day to cancel for this course is June 1, 2027.

Substitutions
Can't make it to the course? You can always send someone in your place. Substitutions can be made until the day of the course, June 8, 2027.
Follow these steps to make a substitution:
- Refer to your registration confirmation email
- Scroll down to "Substitutions"
- Follow link in email
- Enter the confirmation number from the registration email
- At the top of the page, click on the “Substitute Registrant” button
- Enter the name and email of the new registrant
- Click Next
- Click Confirm
Waitlist
What happens if I am on a waitlist for a course? You will receive an email confirming you have been added to a waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified by email.
CEU and CPE Policy
Attendance in this course can earn:
- 0.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs)
- 7.2 Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEs)
Attendance is recorded at check-in at the start of the day, and full CEU or CPE credit is awarded based on an honor system, with the expectation that participants are present and actively engaged for the full MAPS course.
Course Certificate
Your course certificate will be emailed to you following the course. It will reflect your Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and Continuing Professional Education Units (CPEs) earned and your attendance of the course.
Photography
The Ohio State University may occasionally take pictures during educational events for use in program communication. If you do not want to be photographed during this course, please email the MAPS team at glenn-training@osu.edu.
MAPS Membership
A MAPS member receives a discounted rate of $250 for each course with the initial purchase of at least 12 credits. Each credit equals one course for one individual.
