Session Description: In this session, we’ll discuss how small and mid-size internal audit departments should view the IIA’s Topical Requirements, and how to frame your approach to your Audit Committee if you decide one or more “requirements” should be set aside during the next audit period. Learning objectives will include:
- A very high-level understanding of the topical requirements
- How to quantify/qualify a defense against implementing one or more of the requirements
- How to frame the conversation with your Audit Committee to receive the support and understanding that you need.
