Join us for an evening of hands-on making, where a few humble sheets of paper become something surprising. No crafting experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little wet.
We'll begin exploring the craft of Joomchi, a traditional Korean paper technique that turns mulberry paper into pieces of art. Using only water, friction, and the gentle work of your hands, you'll fuse multiple layers of delicate mulberry paper into a single, durable, leather-like material. It's part craft, part magic trick, and deeply satisfying to watch happen under your fingers. You'll take home a one-of-a-kind piece of your own making.
We will also be working with crepe paper and learn to shape petals, leaves, and blooms into flower arrangements that never wilt. They're a lovely way to bring color into your home, and they make a thoughtful handmade gift.
All materials and instructions are provided. Come solo, or bring a friend. It's a relaxed, welcoming evening of making, chatting, and creating something beautiful together.
