Beyond the Individual: Creating Trauma-Informed Communities and Systems
This year's conference focuses on expanding our understanding of trauma beyond the individual level to consider the roles of systems, communities, and collaborative responses in promoting healing and access to care. The event is designed for mental health professionals, clinical supervisors, educators, social workers, students, and community partners; the convening offers a shared space for learning, reflection, and connection across disciplines.
We are honored to welcome Dr. Bruce Perry, Principal of the Neurosequential Network, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and Developmental Neuroscientist, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Perry has been an active teacher, clinician, and researcher in children’s mental health and the neurosciences, holding a variety of academic positions. His work on the impact of abuse, neglect and trauma has informed clinical practice, programs and policy across the world.
The event will include educational sessions led by local experts, as well as opportunities to engage with others committed to strengthening culturally responsive mental health care in our region.
