“Transitioning from Architecture to Project Management: Challenges and Key Insights”

Starting with Networking, Food and Drinks- followed by Alexia Brodber-Brice, our guest speaker. Alexia is Vice President of Project and Development Services at JLL, where she partners with local and national healthcare systems to deliver new construction, renovation, tenant fit-out, and capital projects. With 15 years of architectural experience and over 9 years in project management, she has developed a passion for solving the complex puzzles that come with managing large-scale healthcare projects—from navigating unexpected challenges to celebrating the moment when a newly transformed space opens its doors.

What drives Alexia is the opportunity to work alongside diverse teams and clients, translating ambitious goals into tangible results. Whether orchestrating multi-site program rollouts, guiding capital projects from concept to completion, or helping healthcare organizations reimagine how their spaces support both patients and staff, she approaches each project as a unique collaboration.

Alexia believes the best outcomes happen when you combine technical expertise with genuine curiosity about what clients truly need.

Outside the office, Alexia enjoys reading, sketching, and going on weekend adventures with her husband and daughter. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Howard University but will tell you that some of the most valuable lessons have come from the field—and from the talented people she works with every day.

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Alexia now calls Maryland home and is always eager to connect with fellow industry professionals who share a commitment to innovation and excellence in project delivery.
