Loan Structure & Documentation: The Foundation of Sound Lending
This seminar is designed to prevent loan losses by focusing on the implementation of effective loan structuring and documentation techniques. Participants will learn how to accurately identify a borrower, including verifying the legal entity, confirming who is authorized to act on its behalf, and ensuring the entity is legally allowed to conduct business. We will also address how to identify collateral—determining ownership, location, value, and the borrower’s legal right to pledge it.
In addition, participants will be able to evidence the debt by establishing a mutual understanding of the loan terms, including the amount, repayment schedule, and consequences of default. Through this comprehensive approach, the seminar equips participants with the tools needed to mitigate risk and ensure sound lending practices.
