Course objectives

• This two-day course focuses on different aspects of lead management and targets physicians interested in or performing CIED therapy.
• On the first day, course directors will discuss infectious and non-infectious indications for lead extraction and when to extract or not. Outcomes will be presented and interactive case demonstration will support the different topics.
• The second day will focus on extraction techniques, safety, risks and benefits for the patient. Additional topics to include an overview of training and facility requirements, and the course directors will share their personal experience of lead extraction including the treatment of complications.
