Clyde Hill educators will engage in learning and collaboration around topics that support each and every child in our school in becoming independent learners. Educator learning will include a focus on Tier 1 and Tier 2 instruction based on i-Ready data, SEL Standards, Student Engagement, and MTSS structures. Each of these areas of learning will contribute to the overall goals of the school to be inclusive and create a sense of belonging for all.

1. Increase educator knowledge of i-Ready Reading and Math data to identify student strengths and unfinished learning. Use this information to determine adjustments of Tier 1 instruction and Tier 2 intervention supports.

2. Learn strategies to strengthen and use consistent engagement strategies that help students understand productive struggle, set learning goals, ask for feedback, self-assess, and take a more active role in their learning. This supports SEL standards.

3. Strengthen educator and school wide MTSS practices by clearly identifying and recording student needs, interventions and progress monitoring. Educators will learn to utilize the guiding document for BSD Tier 1 non-negotiables and Tier 2 entry/exit criteria in the areas of reading, math and social emotional learning.
