Using Resilient Leadership to Create a Culture of Resilience and Wellness

Thursdays, January 28 - March 4, 2027, at 1 p.m. (ET)

Leading teams can be challenging, and leading teams during times of change or crisis can be overwhelming. Research informs us that maintaining a culture of resilience and wellness is an important component of preventing compassion fatigue and secondary stress, both of which can lead to burnout. The science of resilience helps us understand what skills, behaviors, and attitudes are essential in navigating challenges and leading in ways that help our team members “bounce back” and move forward.

This six-session training will provide participants with a deep understanding of resilient leadership. Participants will develop resilient leadership abilities using a process of self-assessment and intentional, reflective practices. Too many leaders are combatting high levels of stress, burnout, and secondary trauma. This training will foster skills and competencies in leaders that will help them in creating a culture of resilience and wellness.

Participants will:

  • Participate in six interactive sessions (one session a week for six weeks)
  • Complete a self-assessment using the Devereux Resilient Leadership Survey (DERLS), a research-based tool that focuses a leader’s attention to four important protective factors that contribute to their resilience: relationships, internal beliefs, initiative, and self-control
  • Engage with an online learning community of fellow leaders
  • Pause, reflect, and focus on the aspects of resilient leadership
  • Receive inspirational, motivational, and educational email communications
  • Implement a personalized action plan based on the results of their DERLS to enhance their leadership practices

Each session is recorded and made available to participants via password-protected webpage.
