ABOUT THE EVENT
This course is the first of its kind designed to teach the medical basics of mold related illness to clinical professionals. While exposure to water damaged buildings and associated amplified microbial growth such as mold is well known to cause allergic responses and pulmonary disease, less well recognized is the inflammatory response generated in vulnerable individuals.
Over the past decade, countless research studies have uncovered the systemic reactions to indoor mold and mycotoxins, bacteria, endotoxins, beta glucans and more that can result in a multi symptom, multi system disease process.
This course is designed to cover the fundamental mechanisms by which this illness arises, how to assess and treat patients using an evidence based approach, and offers a framework for providers and industry professionals to communicate effectively with this clinical population.
CME will be offered to qualifying professionals. A certificate of completion from George Washington University will be issued to all attendees that successfully complete the course.
