This three day, (two-hour session per day), virtual course is instructor-led and prepares students for several aspects of fiber optic cable installation in a local area network environment. Content covered consists of Fiber Optic Theory, Cable Selection, Connectivity, Hardware, Splicing, and Testing and Troubleshooting.
Upon attendance to live sessions, students are responsible for self-directed learning consisting of watching pre-recorded video demonstrations followed by a quiz (must score 80% or better).
Students will receive (8) BICSI continuing education credits upon the completion of all 4 sessions. Certificates of completion must be submitted to BICSI for credit.
The cost per student to attend the Corning Fiber Installation Training is $750.00 USD.
Session 1: Fiber Optic Technology and Cable Selection

Self-directed, pre-recorded video demonstrations and quiz (must score 80% or better).
*Attendance is required at all 3 of the live sessions in their entirety in order to receive session 4 and a certificate of completion. The fee for this training is non-refundable. Students will be responsible for registering and paying for the next available training.
