Our Story
A Love Meant to Be
We met in high school, two kids from the same small town where everyone knew everyone—and our families were close friends. Trev was quite a bit older than me, and I always had the biggest crush on him. I thought he was so dang cute, but I figured it was nothing more than a silly teenage thing.
Then, one day, he asked me on a date. My mom—who always liked him—said yes without hesitation. That night, he took me cruising around town. We talked, listened to music, and watched the stars. It was simple, sweet, and unforgettable. But nothing came of it at the time—he was finishing college, and I was still in high school.
After that, life moved on. Trev joined the U.S. Marine Corps, and I went off to college. We did our own thing for a few years until, one day, I got a text from him. That one message turned into months and months of conversations while he was stationed in California. Then he was deployed to Australia, and even though I kept telling myself it could never work, he never gave up on us.
I lost count of how many times he asked me to be his girlfriend. Eventually, I realized he was far too special to let go—and we finally made it official.
During the nine months of his deployment, we built our relationship across time zones and oceans. We got to know each other on a deeper level than I ever imagined possible—something many couples never get to experience.
When he finally came home, he took leave just to see me. He flew into Denver, and I picked him up—and the rest is history. I visited him every chance I got while he was still in California, and each trip gave us memories we’ll treasure forever.
When he left the Marine Corps for good, he came home—and shortly after, in July 2024, we welcomed our beautiful son into the world. That moment brought us even closer.
Now, we spend our days building a life on the farm together—raising our son, chasing dreams, and never taking a single moment for granted.
Highlight of Engagement
During a summer visit to California, Trev took me to Moonlight Beach—one of the most beautiful places I’d ever seen. As the sun began to set, painting the sky with the most breathtaking colors, he asked me to take a walk with him.
But, in true me fashion... I said no. I was in the middle of eating a sandwich on the beach and I was starving! Luckily, he was patient (as always), and eventually, I agreed to walk with him.
That’s when he proposed—right there, in front of the glowing sunset and the sound of waves crashing around us. It was so perfectly us: simple, sweet, and unforgettable.
To top off the night, we went to Applebee’s—our classic go-to—and it’s still our favorite date spot to this day.
