An intimate dinner discussion with Dr. Michael Levy, MD, FAEMS, FACP
Every step towards definitive care should make patients safer.
But does it?
Join fellow EMS leaders for an exclusive, interactive dinner discussion exploring one of the most overlooked risks in the patient journey: the moments of transition. From the scene through movement, transport and definitive handover, each transition can create a point of risk.
Led by Dr. Michael Levy, Stryker’s Emergency Care Chief Medical Advisor, this thought-provoking session will challenge us to consider where risk enters during patient transitions and what we have accepted as routine that deserves to be redesigned. We will discuss how EMS systems can engineer safer transitions across the entire patient journey and the importance of avoiding fragmentation across EMS and into hospital care as we collectively look towards a future with increasingly sophisticated solutions.
Key discussion points:
- Where risk can quietly emerge during patient transitions
- How the 5 Cs can help safeguard continuity of care
- Practical approaches we can take to create safer transitions
