Join us for an interactive, physician-led education course focused on the practical use of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in peripheral arterial disease (PAD).

Delivered by a four-physician expert faculty, this small-group program is designed for physicians seeking real-world insights into IVUS-guided lesion assessment, device selection, and treatment optimisation. Through case-based discussion and procedural walkthroughs, participants will explore how IVUS can inform vessel preparation strategy, improve sizing accuracy, and support more predictable outcomes—using the Philips vessel preparation portfolio as clinical examples.

The course is structured to be highly interactive, encouraging delegates to compare approaches, discuss challenging cases, and take away actionable insights that can be translated directly into their own practice.

Course objectives

• Outline treatment strategies for the care of patients with complex peripheral arterial disease (PAD) guided by IVUS
• Review the technical strategies and techniques to cross complex lesions such as heavily calcified CTOs and multi-level disease in the fempop and below the knee vessels
• Understand the role of IVUS to assess guidewire route, plaque morphology and vessel size to guide treatment strategies
• Engage with faculty and other physician peers to discuss best practices for treating patients with PAD
• Be able to put into practice arterial IVUS and other techniques learned during the workshop
