The Water in Mine Operations and Slope Stability professional development course is online, asynchronous, and self-paced so that you can learn on your schedule.

The course was developed in collaboration with Piteau Associates and course content is based on the LOP's Guidelines for Evaluating Water in Pit Slope Stability text, with additional and updated material for controlling water in mining operations and improving geotechnical slope stability. Case studies on water management challenges and solutions in open pit and underground mines are also included.

All content is available starting May 19, 2026, and is available until May 19, 2027. Upon completing course requirements a professional development certificate will be provided for 30 hours.

Course registration is open until March 19, 2027.
