COURSE OBJECTIVES:
• Discuss the rational for curved instruments and use a variety of active tip surface to enhance biofilm access.
• Analyze a variety of visual cues needed to ensure the selection of curved left and rights can be implemented in all four quadrants.
• Demonstrate effective curved instrument adaptation in furcations, concavities and the CEJ and use a curved ultrasonic instrument to remove simulated biofilm from an artificial furcation.
• Utilize direct and indirect vision HVE options to achieve particle reduction, enhanced visibility and optimal clinician posture.
