Dr. Lajara is a board-certified endocrinologist and nationally recognized leader in diabetes and metabolic care. With over two decades of clinical, academic, and organizational leadership, she has driven innovation in endocrine research, education, and policy. A former President of the Diabetes America Physicians Association, Dr. Lajara currently serves on multiple scientific advisory boards and national guidelines committees for the Endocrine Society and AACE.She has led and contributed to pivotal clinical trials, authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, and played a key role in developing global medical education curricula through the ADA, Endocrine Society, and the Institute for Diabetes and Cardiometabolic Diseases. Her research spans molecular endocrinology to advanced diabetes therapies, and she is a frequent speaker at major conferences including AACE, ADA, and the Endocrine Society.
