CU Anschutz and Consolidated Units New Employee Orientation 2026

Our New Employee Orientation (NEO) welcomes faculty and staff to the University of Colorado Anschutz. The orientation will cover topics such as CU history, structure, policies and more. NEO is hosted through Percipio, an online learning system. The Percipio course has several modules for new hires to complete and is self-paced, which allows everyone to complete the orientation as their schedules allow. The estimated completion time is approximately 2.5 hours.
For those that are eligible, there is an additional Benefits Orientation that could take an additional hour.
The steps outlined below indicate the overall NEO registration and completion process:
1. Human Resources Business Partners (HRBPs) or those responsible for new hire onboarding, will submit the new employee’s orientation registration through Cvent.
- Be sure to select the date that occurs nearest, but after, the employee's start date.
- Register the employee using their active University email account. If the university email is not active, please forward the confirmation email to the employee's personal email account.
2. On the date the employee is registered for, the CU Anschutz Learning and Development (L&D) team will enroll registered employees in NEO. Once the employees have been uploaded, they will receive an email from the University of Colorado System with the link to the assigned Percipio NEO course.
3. New employees are expected to complete NEO within their first 30 days of hire to comply with university expectations and to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
4. On Mondays, L&D will monitor completion status.
- If the employee has not completed after 2 weeks, they will send a reminder to the employee.
- If the employee has not completed after 3 weeks, a notice will be sent to the HR Business Partner.
5. Completions will be automatically uploaded to the Human Capital Management System (HCM) on the employee’s official training record.
If the employee's primary campus is CU Denver, please register them for CU Denver's New Employee Orientation.
Please note that if you are a new employee, contact your supervisor or department's HR Business Partner to be registered for NEO; new employees should not register themselves.
