Join us for the 3rd Vancouver Island Region Aboriginal Head Start On-Reserve (AHSOR) Training: This is a two-and-a-half-day learning and sharing event taking place October 27, 28 & 29, at The Beach Club Resort in Parksville.

Four participants per AHSOR program are welcome to register, e.g. Daycare Managers, Supervisors, Supporting Admin staff (finance), ECE/IT/SN, ECEA, RA, Parents and elders.  This gathering/knowledge sharing will focus on strengthening your toolkit for team building, lateral kindness, healthy conflict resolution and supporting children with neurodivergent and/or challenging behaviours and their families. The conference will have hands-on learning opportunities as well. Each program will create a cultural kit for your center to take away on the afternoon of Day 2. On Day 3, the morning focus is self-care. Participants will also enjoy a hands-on indigenous tea blending activity – with teas to take for enjoyment at home.

Meals and Refreshments

Breakfast will be available each day from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. A nutrition break will be provided each morning and afternoon.
