LA28 is excited to release this call for Expressions of Interest ("EOI") for suppliers interested in providing food and beverage concessionaire and/or catering services at locations inside the following Zones: City of Industry, (e.g., Industry Hills), Griffith Park (e.g., Griffith Observatory), Long Beach (e.g., Belmont Shore, Marine Stadium), Port of Los Angeles, Trestles Beach, Venice (e.g., Beach, Boardwalk), Valley (e.g., Sepulveda Basin, Woodley Golf Course, Lake Balboa), and Whittier Narrows. (note: Official Venues for the LA28 Olympics and Paralympics [https://la28.org/en/games-plan/venues.html]). The scope of work includes the sale and delivery of concessions, the delivery of obligatory catering, the sale and delivery of non-obligatory catering, and the aggregation of 3rd party subcontractors (e.g., food trucks / carts / pop-ups). Suppliers may express interest in either or both service types — concessions and/or catering. LA28 will use responses to this announcement to support the design of and invite selected respondents to participate in an anticipated competitive procurement process.

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) Small Business Boot Camp is a program that provides small contractors with the tools to enhance their competitivenessthrough a comprehensive, hands-on curriculum. At the conclusion of the program, graduating small contractors will be ready to bid on LAUSD contracts and to pursue contracts with other public agencies. The program offers both short- and long-term benefits for participating contractors and will expand the district's pool of qualified contractors.

The goal of this call for EOI is to identify a provider who can provide an end-to-end solution for the Modern Pentathlon Obstacle Course including initial design, installation and maintenance, obstacle swap-outs, deinstallation, brand application, and all services as applicable. Suppliers must be able to meet the requirements outlined by the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) for the LA28 Olympic Games Modern Pentathlon (MPN) Program.

The Small Business Mobility Fund: Launch Grants, support eligible small businesses who have recently launched a new brick-and-mortar location in unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County by offering $5,000 to non-retail businesses with a commercial lease and $10,000 to retail businesses with a commercial lease.

DEO is also offering The Small Business Mobility Fund: Entrepreneurship Academy Grants ($2,000) for eligible graduates of DEO’s EMI Entrepreneurship Academy who own small businesses in Los Angeles County.

We are currently encouraging eligible residents and business owners to apply.
