WELCOME
We are pleased to invite you to the Advanced Sensor and Smart Materials Workshop. Sensor technology has been rapidly changing as new applications continue to develop. This workshop brings together stakeholder groups across the gamut of sensor technology and implementation space from end users to sensor technology providers, regulators, implementation support providers and more. The focus of the workshop will be on sensors of all modalities and there will be a sub-focus on smart materials.
Join us for:
- Technical presentations (Currently accepting abstracts)
- Sensor technology and sensor applications
- Smart materials
- Supporting Technologies & Science
- NDE, I&C, and Innovative Measurements/Modalities
- Related topics
- Joint industry discussions on collaborative topics
- Sensor Qualifications,
- Sensor Standardizations,
- Technology Roadmapping
- Networking across sensor stakeholders & adjacent industries
- Technology Exhibits
- EPRI lab tours (Request during registration)
- Welding and Additive Manufacturing
- NDE Performance Demonstration
- Creep and Thermal Testing Facilities
- Advanced Ultrasonics
- Digital I&C
- Steam Generator Management & Eddy Current Testing Lab
We are accepting abstracts for presentations in these areas and any other topic related to advanced sensor technology, implementation, or emerging applications. We invite technology stakeholders all across the sensors area to contribute with presentations, discussions, and exhibits. To be considered for the agenda, please submit a brief abstract that identifies your proposed topic and briefly describes the proposed contribution to this agenda. Please submit your abstracts to Luke Breon or Bruce Greer by July 25 so we can form the detailed structure of the workshop.
We look forward to connecting with you in September!
ATTENDANCE BENEFITS
Stakeholders across sensor technology space will better understand the status of available sensor hardware, deployment issues and considerations, emerging applications, regulatory perspectives, current technology availability, and technology headroom. Attendees will help guide the needed development pathways of sensing technologies. Technology showcasing will support design optimization for components that require online sensing or periodic inspection. This workshop will also be a networking opportunity for personnel working in complementing areas in sensor space to form working relationships.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Staff engaged in all aspects of sensor technology from design & fabrication to implementation and regulation should consider attending this workshop;
* Sensor technology providers
* Developers of advanced reactors (specifically those working on structural, I&C, NDE, and maintainability aspects)
* Regulators of nuclear technologies
* Code workers and personnel involved in reliability and integrity management (RIM) for advanced applications
* Light Water Reactor (LWR) engineers and maintenance staff
* Scientists supporting sensor development * Generation service vendors in nuclear and fossil generation
* Academics working in sensor space
* Developers of robotic deployment of sensors
