Martha LaGuardia
-KotiteCaptain USCG (ret), is active on the lecture circuit as an author, TEDx and keynote speaker, for Fortune 100 and 500 companies and universities. She is a retired captain in the U.S. Coast Guard and author of five books, including So Others May Live: Coast Guard Rescue Swimmers Saving Lives, Defying Death. She is also one of the first female officers to serve aboard two Coast Guard cutters with all-male crews and lead teams through numerous disasters during her twenty-nine-year career. She earned a master’s degree in journalism from Harvard University and writes stories and profiles for magazines. She is regularly invited to podcasts and has appeared on Fox & Friends, FOX/CBS/ABC/NBC/CNN, and affiliates. Her TEDx “Let’s Save the Ocean’s Superpower” was released a few months ago and was inspired by her expedition trip to Antarctica while driving Zodiacs for guests and being immersed in this magnificent world of wildlife and ice.
