Where are the various conference event locations?

All venues and addresses may be found in the Hotel & Venues page. 

What are the accommodation arrangements?

We have reserved a limited number of sleeping rooms ($199 + tax) at the I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center. Refer to the Hotel & Venues page for booking details. 

The cut-off for reservations at our special rate is Tuesday, September 22.

IMPORTANT: With a home Illini football game taking place on Saturday (Foundation Weekend), we encourage attendees to secure lodging promptly.

What are my Thursday parking options on campus?

Altgeld Hall: 📍512 E Daniel St, Champaign, IL 61820 | C-10 Parking Garage
This hourly parking garage is approximately a 6-minute walk to Altgeld Hall. Payment can be made by MobileMeter, ParkMobile, and Pay By Phone apps, as well as a pay station that accepts cash and credit card payments.

Temple Hoyne Buell Hall:

Arriving after 4 p.m.? Though the sign reads 5 p.m., campus parking is aware of our event and will not ticket between 4-5 p.m.

1. E-2 Parking Lot - 📍1310 S 6th St, Champaign, IL 61820
   No payment required. This lot is a permitted lot until 5 p.m., but conference guests are welcome to park here starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday. The lot has two entrances off S 6th St - (1) at Lorado Taft Dr and (2) at Peabody Dr. 
2. E-11 Parking Lot - 📍Urbana, IL 61801
   No payment required. This lot is a permitted lot until 5 p.m., but conference guests are welcome to park here starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday. Near the Stock Pavilion, this lot can be accessed from Peabody Dr directly through the E-2 lot. 

Arriving before 4 p.m. or the above lots are full? Metered or pay by parking app options:

1. E-19 Parking Lot - 📍500 E Peabody Dr, Champaign, IL 61820
2. Meters along the following streets: S 6th St, Peabody Dr, E. Pennsylvania Ave and Lorado Taft Dr.

Is there a shuttle service?

Yes. The I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center does offer limited complimentary shuttle service to Willard Airport (CMI) and the Amtrak station. Arrangements need to be made well in advance so let them know as soon as possible to ensure availability.

How do I let you know about my dietary requirements or other special requests?

Please indicate all special requests when you register. We will do our best to accommodate all restrictions, allergies and requests.

Is Continuing Education credit available?

All sessions and the tour will be submitted for AIA CES approval. When approvals are confirmed, credit details will be added to each session description on the Schedule page. 

To receive credit, scan the QR code on your name badge before each session at the iPad stationed outside the room so we can file with AIA CES. 

Not an AIA member? Please still scan your badge as directed above. After the conference, reach out and we’ll provide a certificate of completion.

Is there a virtual option or will sessions be recorded?

No. Everything is only being offered in-person and sessions will not be recorded.

Can I walk-in & register onsite?

Yes, but for optimal planning purposes, please register as soon as possible online as we want to make sure there is enough food and seating for each guest. Kindly register online on or before Friday, October 9, to receive early bird pricing!

How do I pay?

Credit cards are accepted online when you register (or at the door as a walk-in guest). You may also bring a check to registration check-in when you arrive, payable to AIA Illinois.

What is the registration cancellation policy?

Cancellation Deadline: Wednesday, October 14, 2026

Cancellations made on or before this date will be fully refunded.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to council@aiail.org.

No‑shows are not eligible for a refund or credit.

Canceling your registration does not automatically cancel your hotel or travel – these must be canceled separately if applicable.

What should I plan to wear?

Conference: Professionally casual and comfortable! Meeting rooms tend to run cool so bring sleeves just in case.

Honor Awards Presentation: Business preferred.

I can't find my registration confirmation email.

Click “Already registered” found underneath the "Register" button on this website and follow the prompts to have your confirmation resent.

Photography and Photo & Video Policy

There will be a professional photographer and a digital marketing agency onsite documenting the conference. After the conference, event photos will be posted online in a digital photo album for you to enjoy!
